On August 13, 2017, a small group of our members took a trip to Anderson Japanese Gardens located in Rockford, IL.
From left to right, Kathy Christie, Sue Wells, Renee Diehl, Pat Diehl. Not pictured Linda Groble
This tree was so huge that supports were required to hold up the heavy branches.
This Japanese maple was a beautiful shade of red…..there were many different varieties of these trees throughout the gardens
The sound of running water could be heard throughout the garden
As soon as you walked up to the edge of this pond the koi were there to welcome you. (More likely they wanted you to feed them!)
Again with the sound of water…………from a trickle….
….to a roar. Beautiful waterfall.
