After checking the surrounding villages, she realized that there were none in the area.\u00a0 Wanting that connection with other people who loved to garden, she contacted the Garden Clubs of Illinois, and with their guidance she founded the Tri-Village Garden Club which encompasses the villages of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood.\u00a0 The first meeting of the new club was in October 1997 and many who attended are still active members.<\/p>\n<p>What we do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our club meets on the third Wednesday of the month.\u00a0 We have speakers at least eight times a year, on a wide variety of topics that cover all possible subjects that would be of interest to a gardener.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of our topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flower Arranging<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Concerns<\/li>\n<li>Native Plants and Wildlife<\/li>\n<li>Landscape Design<\/li>\n<li>Horticulture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Meetings are held at the Poplar Creek Library, 1405 S Park Ave, Streamwood, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
