{"id":689,"date":"2015-11-07T19:33:43","date_gmt":"2015-11-07T19:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trivillagegardenclub.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=689"},"modified":"2017-02-15T16:58:30","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T16:58:30","slug":"links","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/trivillagegardenclub.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=689","title":{"rendered":"LINKS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some garden-related links we think you might enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantigny.org\/gardens\/\">Cantigny Gardens<\/a> \u00a0 This is one of the largest display gardens in the Midwest with more than 160,000 annuals, perennials, ground covers and flowering shrubs and trees. \u00a0A majority of the plants seen throughout the gardens are estate-grown inside Cantigny\u2019s renowned greenhouse.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobotanic.org\/\">Chicago Botanic Gardens<\/a>\u00a0 The Chicago Botanic Garden has 50,000 members\u2014one of the largest memberships of any U.S. botanic garden.\u00a0 It has 26 spectacular gardens and 4 natural areas on 385 acres.\u00a0 The Garden is one of only 17 public gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagowilderness.org\/\">Chicago Wilderness<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 Chicago Wilderness is a regional alliance leading strategy to preserve, improve, and expand nature and quality of life in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenclubsofillinois.org\/\">Garden Clubs of Illinois<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0The Garden Clubs of Illinois currently has over 7500 members in 166 clubs, an additional 12 affiliate plant societies, arboretums and similar organizations, and 3 Junior Clubs in Illinois.\u00a0 Founded in 1925, they are a charter member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., an international organization that is the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenweb.com\/\">GardenWeb<\/a>\u00a0 On this website you will find the latest discussions or you can easily link to other specific garden and home forums.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/web.extension.illinois.edu\/state\/programarea.cfm?ProgramAreaID=14\">HortCorner<\/a>\u00a0 This website is full of home gardening and lawn care ideas from the professionals at the University of Illinois Extension.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mortonarb.org\/\">Morton Arboretum<\/a>\u00a0 The mission of The Morton Arboretum is to collect and study trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world.\u00a0 The Arboretum maintains living collections on display across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy, and to learn how to grow them in ways that enhance the environment.\u00a0 The Morton Arboretum was founded in 1922 by Joy Morton (1855-1934). \u00a0The inspiration for the Arboretum had its origins in Mr. Morton\u2019s own family tree.\u00a0 His father, J.
