2019 Benefit Garden Walk

On July 13, 2019 we held a Garden Walk to benefit We Grow Dreams. This organization is a nursery and green house that sells beautiful plants and their mission is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives and to train and work in a supportive, safe and caring environment while producing and providing products and services to the community. In this pursuit, we honor the concepts of human dignity, respect, hard work, fellowship and friendship.

There were six beautiful gardens located in Bartlett that opened their space for people to view.

Wally & Linda Groble
Patti Brotz
Patti Rohlfes
The Heeley’s
Sue Stocks
Maureen Ernandez

This year we partnered with Arts in Bartlett who, in addition to the Village of Bartlett, declared this year as Bartlett Porch Proud. Artist from Arts in Bartlett. Members of our club were invited to send photos of their gardens to the artists so they could create beautiful pictures which they displayed during our garden walk. Each garden had 1 to 2 artists on site and had their artwork on sale.

It was a very successful garden walk and we were able to donate $1000 to We Grow Dreams.

On September 17, at a Board meeting of the Village of Bartlett, the homeowners were presented with a plaque that was created by one of our member’s husband who is a sculptor.

Eileen Lucietto, Chairperson of the Walk presented the plaques
